I was born February 1979 in Blankenburg, Germany. When I was five years old, my grandfather introduced me to fishing. My first fishing rod consisted of a stick and some fishing line, but it was the start of a life-long lifestyle for me.
In 1995, I got my first single hand fly rod and since then it has been my main passion. When I lived in British Columbia, Canada for a year, I really got hooked on fly fishing for salmon and sea running trout. After moving to Northern Norway, I have focused immensely on Atlantic salmon and sea trout fishing, which gives me great joy. I have definitely caught the fly fishing “bug“. You will find me practicing my casting in the river where I live as soon as the river is ice-free.
Since moving to Tromsø in 2009, I have been a member of the Tromsø Fly Fishing and Casting Club. I have recently begun giving private casting courses.
I have always enjoyed helping others with their casting techniques and helping them choose the right equipment for their type of fishing — be it for single hand or two hand rods.
I am honoured to be a part of the salmologic Ambassador team.
