I was born in 1991 and grew up in Lakselv in Northern Norway. I’ve been interested in photography since I was 14 years old and have since turned it into a living after I started my own media company in 2013. The company, Frisk Bris Studio, offers services in photography, film, design and web-design.

I was introduced to fishing at the age of four, and I still remember the excitement I felt when I caught my first trout. As a teenager, I would often go fishing alone by the lakes in the mountains, enjoying the beautiful landscape and the silence. Ever since then, fishing combined with other outdoor activities and photography, has been my passion.

It took me several years to discover fly fishing, but when I finally did, I was hooked. My hometown, Lakselv, is located close to three of the best salmon rivers in the northern part of Norway: Lakselva, Stabburselva and Børselva. Having the opportunity to fish in these rivers, spend my vacations by the riverbanks, and just be outside in the nature, has definitely enriched my life.

Since I started fly fishing back in 2014, I’ve seen a growing interest for this sport among women, especially in Norway. I’ve also noticed that manufacturers now have more options regarding clothing, waders and gear for women. It’s no secret that we have a slightly different view on what we wear while fishing than men may have. Brands have kept that in mind while developing new products. I am delighted about this on the behalf of all the women who are already fly fishing and for those who would like to learn more about it.

If you’re considering getting into this sport, I would be more than happy to answer your questions and help you prepare for your first fly fishing trip. It would be my pleasure to inspire you, your friends or your association with my experiences and stories from the rivers in Norway.

In 2017, I moved to Vejle, Denmark and discovered some great opportunities for salmon- and seatrout fishing. I’m really looking forward to fishing in Danish rivers and practicing some new casting techniques and fishing strategies.

Being a part of salmologic makes me feel truly honored and grateful – knowing that I have a handful of the best fly anglers, fly casters and instructors by my side.

If we meet by the river, please feel free to ask questions and I’ll do my best to assist you.
