I was born 1964 in Gothenburg, Sweden, where I still live with my family. When I was 13, my father gave me a fly rod, and that same year I tied my first flies. Since then, I have never had a boring day in my life! In the beginning, I was fly-fishing for all kinds of fish. Nowadays, I prefer fishing for salmon and trout.

In addition to fishing on the rivers of the Swedish west coast, I travel around Scandinavia in my search for salmon, sea trout and brown trout. Over the years, the natural and scenic beauty of the places where I fish has become increasingly important to me. It is my home river Säveån as well as the knowledge and friendship of the people who are associated with it that have shaped me into the salmon fisherman I am today.

What is closest to my heart is salmon fishing with single-hand rods (a switch rod), and I don’t go anywhere now without my switch rods!

Since 2008, I have been involved with the fly tackle business on a part-time basis. The last few years I have been part of the ambassador team and I’m very honoured to be a member of this group.
